A young man was murdered by slitting his throat in Gokulpuri area of north-east Delhi on Saturday evening. The deceased has been identified as Neeraj Arora (44). The murder took place on the Delhi-UP border. After receiving the information, UP and Delhi police reached the spot. A dispute occurred between Loni police and Delhi police about the area. Loni police started saying that it was Delhi area. No one was ready to accept it as their area. When senior officers of Delhi Police reached the spot, they intervened and asked to register a case at Gokulpuri police station. Later, Gokulpuri police registered a case of murder and completed the formalities. Police sent the body for post-mortem.
Police is trying to trace the attackers with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby. Police has also found some important clues in the case. Police has also informed Neeraj’s family about the murder. Senior police officials say that three teams have been formed for investigation. According to the police, at around 4:30 pm on Saturday, news was received that a young man has been stabbed in Gokulpuri area near Metro pillar number-12, Gokulpuri village, Loni. When the police reached the spot, a young man was found soaked in blood. CATs ambulance also reached the spot. The young man was declared dead on the spot.
Later he was identified. Meanwhile, Loni police also reached there. Delhi police officials said that the murder took place in Loni police station area. Loni police was not ready to accept this. They kept saying that it was Delhi police area. After several hours, Delhi police registered the case. The deceased Neeraj lived with his family in Ashok Nagar, Delhi. His throat was slit from the right side. There was a deep cut mark on his neck. Police has registered a case and started investigation.
